Somewhere between craftsmanship and design, the Bavovna pendant light, designed and hand-made by Yulya Yalanzhi, is made of recycled paper-mâché.
A multitude of spherical cocoons of various dimensions are harmoniously assembled to form a light and ethereal unit, although imposing in its size.
Stainless steel lines and transparent electric wires accentuate the feeling of weightlessness. The mix of natural and white colors underlines this impression and plays with the nine LED bulbs hidden inside the cocoons. Once again, the designer responds to her deep aspirations such as the genesis of life, the reproduction, the blossoming. In this piece particularly, she demonstrates her unique vision of the creative abundance of nature.
